Here's today's Diary Entry!

Well, it's about time I showed up, isn't it?
Sorry, but we've been in a marathon session since yesterday trying to figure out an appropriate theme for ButterCup's birthday, which is next Tuesday.
So far, our ideas include:
1. Gluing me inside a huge birthday card, so that when Buttercup opens it, my wings will bee all open and ready for a birthday hug. That was Kevin's idea. Personally, I don't like it. The idea of having my wings glued to a birthday card sounds impractical, plus, when the card is closed, I'll be smushed. (He drew a sketch of what he was thinking of doing ... I dunno why, but it seems as if I've seen that idea used somewhere beefore.)
2. Putting on a "This Was Your Life" Pageant, (my idea), starting at the very beeginning of Bee History. We could have 20-30 bees dressed up in old time, historical costumes and they could each give a short speech about what life was like for her during those days a long, long time ago. (Great Grandma Gee Gee told me she didn't think that would the best approach and that it might insult ButterCup or something.)
3. Sending her on three-week, all-expense paid, luxury vacation to the "Emergency Beeauty Restoration Spa" in Trinidad, Colorado, where she will bee pampered and have her fuzz reconditioned. That was Kevin's and my idea together, but again, Gee Gee said that, as thoughtful as we were trying to bee, she didn't think that was a great idea, either.
4. Just throwing her a nice party with all of our friends.
That last one is Gee Gee's idea. It sounds too simple work, but unless we come up with something else more unique and festive, that's probably what we'll end up doing. I don't know why, but I think I should trust Gee Gee on this one. She has celebrated a lot of birthdays and seems to know what works and what doesn't.
Anyway, we'll bee spending the next three days figuring out what to do and putting everything together for the Big Day on Tuesday. At the very least, I won't forget it this year, so that's a good thing.
