Georgie is anticipating a highly gratifying day...

I have a feeling this is gonna bee a very buzzy, but very gratifying day.
After my first Feature Thingy (“Georgie’s Tips, Ties and Tittle Tattle) came out yesterday, I was sure that I’m gonna hafta deal with a bunch of autograph Seekers today, and other Curiosity Seekers who just wanna have a chance to meet me and bee in my presence.
Since I don’t want a bunch of Readers trampling through our Boot Box, I decided to set up a table by my front door where all my Readers can come and get my autograph and spend a few, precious seconds basking in the presence of literary and journalistic greatness.
Of course, I can’t just sit here all day like that. I’m a buzzy bee and my time is precious. Beesides, since I don’t work on weekends I hafta get buzzy on next Thursday’s Feature Thingy by tonight so I can deliver that to my Editor on Monday. So, I taught Bert how to properly sign my name, and he’s gonna sit there all day and sign autographs on my beehalf.
It’s nice to have a robot around, mostly.
My Illegitimate Nephew, Kevin - enterprising bee that he is - set up a table right next to mine, and said, “I’m sure there will bee swarms of Autograph Seekers, uncle, so I’m going to sell Freshly Unsqueezed, Ice Cold and Refreshing Nectarade, along with Great Grandma Gee Gee’s Royal Honeychew Krisp Cookies. I plan to make a fortune. It’s hot out, and everybody will bee exceedingly thirsty and hungry from having to wait in those long lines to get your autograph, so I’m sure we will bee doing a brisk business.”
And that’s a good thing, since Kevin is still looking for a new job and really needs the honey.
So that’s what we’ve been doing since early this morning.
Of course, nobody’s showed up yet, but I think it’s still early.
In the meantime, there was a message from my Editor waiting for me this morning. It said he needs me to bee in his Office first thing Monday morning - or else. (I gotta say: that’s a very unpleasant way to start a perfectly good Monday, ya’ know what I mean?), but I’m pretty sure he’s as excited as everybody else is to see what I’ve come up with for next Thursday, so maybee it won’t bee so bad.
Anyway, I’d better go get to work on that. I don’t wanna disappoint anybody. Especially my Editor, ya’ know?
