Georgie and the bunch are alive and well . . .

So where was I? Oh yeah.

So we’re in Algeria now (but don’t tell anybody I told you that…nobody’s supposed to know).

We’ve been here for maybee a week or so after a very long flight and an amazingly tedious and dusty drive in a red Town & Country Van to where we are now, which is I dunno where exactly.

Fleur de Bee was kind enough to help us flee extradition from France back to Manitou Springs, Colorado, and told us that, at least for awhile, we all hafta stay here, at least until everything gets straightened out with the Queen and stuff. Geeeeze. I hope that’s soon. I’ve been gone so long that I’ll never bee able to catch up on my stories on TV, and Great Grandma Gee Gee keeps worrying about what condition the boot box is in.

“Land’s sake,” she said the other day, “if we’re gone much longer, I’m afraid the place will bee such a mess that it will take me forever to get things back to the way they should bee.”
“Don’t worry,” I told her. “I’m sure everything’s fine.”
“How sweet of you to reassure me, dear. Here, have a cookie.”

So I did that.

She seemed relieved. I hope I’m right about everything beeing okay. I wouldn’t like to think that I lied to my Great Grandma.

Anyway, since we’ve been here, we’ve been doing whatever we can to try to keep ourselves amused and occupied. Great Grandma Gee Gee has been helping us feel at home by baking a fresh batch of her HoneyChew Krisp cookies every day. ButterCup decided to take Abdomen Dancing lessons. Kevin decided to sign up for an online dating service through his wing-held device. When I asked him if he wasn’t a bit young for such things, he just said, “There comes a time in every bee’s life that the alluring call of romance beegins to bee heard. I am no exception.”

Fine. Kevin’s growing up. Probably.

Anyway, when he’s not doing that, he’s tinkering with Bert. I tried to help him once, but he said, “Uncle Georgie, you’re the best uncle in the world, and I love you, but I would appreciate it if you wouldn’t bee so helpful.”

Whatever. I’ve never enjoyed holding this or holding that very much, so I’ll just go back to playing myself in a Solitaire Parcheesi Tournament. (I’m winning.)

Okay then. I need to go.

I hope everybody has a massively superlative day!

I’ll see ya’ later!
