Georgie's Editor is not pleased ...
Ah, Monday is here at last! Since there are only TWO Mondays left this month, I plan to enjoy the day as much as possible.
Unfortunately, the day didn’t start all that well. The first thing I had to do this morning was hafta deliver the first instalment of my special Weekly Feature, “Georgie’s Tips, Ties and Tittle Tattle”, to my Editor this morning.
He was in a highly cranky mood.
“It’s about time,” he said when I gave him my Feature Thingy.
After he looked it over really fast (I don’t think he actually read the whole thing), he slammed it down on his desk.
“Bee,” he said.
“Yes?” I asked, figuring he was gonna tell me how much he loved what I’d done.
“When I insisted you include TIES in your Feature Column, I wasn’t talking about BAG TIES. I see here that you’ve included a feature on BAG TIES. BAG TIES do not qualify as TIES.”
“They don’t?” I asked. (I thought a tie was a tie.)
“No, they do not. Take this back and bring me the corrected version beefore the end of buzziness today. Or else.”
Then told me to get out of his Office. So I did that.
I was really hoping that I wouldn’t hafta work today, but I guess since it’s so hot outside (and there’s a bunch of smoke in the air for some reason), I might as well stay in and do some revisions on my Feature Article.
Whatever.
